How effective is it?

Hypnotherapy vs Talk Therapy

In 1970 a groundbreaking meta-analysis of hypnosis research studies was conducted by Alfred A. Barrios.

1,018 studies and various articles on hypnosis were compared. He also compared 899 articles on psychoanalytic therapy and 355 articles on behavioural therapy.

Hypnotherapy had a success rate of 93% (6 session average) vs 38% for talk therapy (600 session average).

Hypnosis 93%
Psychotherapy 38%

Using an advanced form of hypnotherapy means my clients see results even after just one session with me.

When you were younger you could stand up in front of a stage of people or make a decision without regrets. Your ability to do that changed because your beliefs changed and you became more self-conscious. You still know how to do that, you've just forgotten.

Hypnosis is a safe practice and has been used for many years however you may still have a few questions and I’d love to answer them for you.

To keep it simple imagine that all of your life events and experiences are stored in your subconscious. Your beliefs and values all form who you are and you see every day through that lens.

If you have had a negative experience your mind will remember and want to move you away from it for example a bad experience at school standing in front of the class.

In business, this can be a challenge if you need to be visible and close high-value deals when your body language is showing you don’t want to be there.

So if you wanted to change that behaviour you’d first have to deal with the limiting belief that you are scared or anxious about being in front of people.

Hypnosis allows the hypnotist to bypass your conscious critical faculty (the gatekeeper to your mind) and embed the changes that you want.

  • Will I be in control during the session?

Of course. The mind only accepts suggestions that are beneficial. We agree on all of this before the session.

You also can't be made to do something against your will. You can exit hypnosis at any time.

  • What does it feel like?

It's a light trance state so think about when you were just about to fall asleep or when you've been daydreaming. It feels nice and relaxed. Most people don't want to come out of it because it feels as if they have been to the spa and let go of all worries.

  • Will I see changes straight away?

Everyone is different. Some clients report changes after the first session. You are given an mp3 audio to reinforce the embedded commands since your mind learns by repetition. The more you listen the changes have a cumulative effect. For that reason, clients report to me that they start to really notice the effects up to 30 days and even more so as they continue listening after that.

  • How long are sessions?

My sessions are 2 hours because I work through a specific methodology to identify what's causing your behaviour, then reframe it so you get the mindset breakthrough.

This makes it more powerful than a standard hypnosis session. When you are in hypnosis you won't notice the time going in.
